From the age of eight Shane Hampsheir has been performing. Granted it was jumping on his sofa whilst singing and dancing to 'Greased Lightning', learning all the lines and then acting, dancing and singing the scenes out with his big sister Joanne, who is two years older.

His sister was a big part of why he is now the versatile and confident performer he is. Shane copied everything she did.  Joanne joined the school choir, shortly after Shane did. Joanne performed in the secondary school musical ‘Oliver’, the next year the schools musical performance of ‘Grease’ had Shane playing Sonny LaTierri. Whilst rehearsing for ‘Grease’ at the age of 12, Shane made friends with a lot of young men and women in the sixth form who also were in the show playing bigger parts. One of the ‘Pink Ladies’ introduced Shane to a local stage school whilst the ‘T-Birds’ in the show decided to form a boy band called ‘Give Way’

This is when Shane started taking performing seriously. At this time, Shane also watched a huge star at the Albert Hall on the T.V singing swing and decided right there and then that that was the music for him.

The stage school Shane joined quickly found that Shane was a big talent. And within a month of Shane being there, the principle had decided Shane should sing a solo in the summer show. Shane sang and danced on London’s finest stages such as ‘The London Palladium’ and ‘Theatre Royal, Drury Lane’. Shane sang more and more solo’s and after two years decided it was time to move on and joined a new stage schools, but quickly outgrew that one too.

Shane was now in his final years at school and was singing, acting and dancing more and more. Showing off his skills in front of the school and now doing small gigs at residential homes around Kent. Shane knew he wanted to perform for the rest of his life and decided that after school, he would audition for a performing arts college.

In the January of 2004, Shane auditioned for the ‘Reynolds Academy of Performing Arts’ in Bexley, Kent. The building was a magnificent place and he felt very much at home. It would be for the next three years.

Since that September, when he started his first term as a performing arts student, Shane has climbed from rung to rung as a jazz and swing singer, actor and dancer. Now a professional singer, Shane has found himself singing in his own one man show at ‘The Mick Jagger Centre’ in Dartford, the 'Woodville Halls' in Gravesend, 'The Bob Hope Theatre' in Eltham and other theatres throughout the South East, mainly appearing with the legendary, 'Ben Beddoes Big Band'.

Late in 2007, Shane was asked to record 'Home' by Michael Buble for Universal Records. The recording was for an album called, 'You Raise Me Up, 2008' and also featured many many big names such as Elton John, Russell Watson, Girls Aloud, Ronan Keating and Jow Cocker.

2008 has introduced Shane to some of the world's most famous and greatest musicians including Jeff Hooper and his Trio, The Len Phillips Big Band, 'NYJO' (the National Youth Jazz Orchestra) and the Syd Lawrence Orchestra.

Shane is the UK's No.1 Michael Buble Tribute and can also be found on wikipedia.org as an official recording artist of 'Home' by Michael Buble. In April 2008, Shane recorded a track for the forthcoming PlayStation 3 game, 'Pom-pom'.

Now, aged 21, Shane is working with many influential people and respected names in the music and entertainment business, meaning at such a young age, Shane is becoming one of the most professional and entertaining performers of the new music generation.

Shane currently performs throughout the southeast in Clubs, hotels and functions and has rapidly established himself as one of the most exciting and talented performers around.
